Artificial Intelligence Disruption

#artificialintelligence

The term "artificial intelligence" (AI)-referring to the use of computer systems to perform tasks that normally require human understanding--has been around for nearly 60 years. But it is only recently that AI appears on the brink of revolutionizing industries as diverse as health care, law, journalism, aerospace, and manufacturing, with the potential to profoundly affect how people live, work, and play. A number of forces have converged to bring AI into its own. Increased processing power makes it possible for computers to execute complex tasks at speeds once unimaginable--at a cost that has fallen rapidly. The ramp-up in cloud computing and the outsourcing of data storage, which has come down significantly in price, have allowed companies to develop and use AI applications.

It's coming: Artificial intelligence disruption of commercial real estate - by Nat Kunes

#artificialintelligence

Like so many industries it came for over the past few years, the fourth industrial revolution is now heading straight for real estate, making huge waves that are only going to get bigger. Some of these advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), are going to have significant impact on the management of commercial real estate properties. One of the biggest benefits to advancements in AI and other technologies is having the ability to streamline so many of the property management processes, processes that are all critical to the management of a commercial building, especially ones that house a significant number of tenants. Managing these types of properties has never been an easy feat, but technology is reshaping what property management looks like, ultimately giving time back to property management companies to focus on revenue, continue to grow their business and provide more positive tenant experiences. AI in Commercial Property Management When it comes to commercial real estate, just like residential, there is constant change.

Finland will be a winner in the Artificial Intelligence disruption

#artificialintelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now being hyped in earnest. The media is full of stories about its achievements: magical algorithms beating humans on their own turf in Jeopardy, the Chinese go-game and Texas hold' m, not to mention the stock traders and radiologists soon to be displaced by machines. IBM was very clever to name its AI software suite Watson. A bit of mystique is always intriguing. And that is not all: venture capital is pouring into AI start-ups – 15 billion US dollars since 2012!

Artificial intelligence disruptions in healthcare - IoT Agenda

Connected hospitals with intelligent messaging In today's hospitals, pacemakers, defibrillators and oximeters are all connected to the internet and share vitals immediately with doctors, in turn speeding response times. Hospitals have technicians, nurses, staff, billing departments, insurance providers, patients and patients' families as stakeholders, each with different requirements of information about the care given to patient. Unified Inbox offers an AI-based unified cloud IoT messaging platform for internet of things devices to connect various stakeholders, giving them the freedom to receive different messages at different frequency, with different senses of urgency in different mediums of their choice. Unified Inbox launched this at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore as "CUBE," the IoT-secured messaging gateway for healthcare. The artificial intelligence makes the hospitals connected, giving peace of mind to patients and their loved ones while improving efficiency in the overall hospital management and interaction with all stakeholders.
